The Role:
The successful candidate will join the firm's expanding construction team and focus on non-contentious matters. This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor (NQ) up to 2 years PQE, with a keen interest in construction law, to gain exposure to high-profile projects across various sectors, including infrastructure, real estate, energy, and engineering.
Key responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating construction contracts (such as NEC, JCT, and bespoke agreements), advising clients on procurement strategies and risk management, and assisting on the construction elements of property and infrastructure projects. The solicitor will work closely with senior lawyers on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters.
Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related documents
Provide legal advice on project delivery methods, procurement strategies, and risk mitigation
Assist on the construction aspects of significant infrastructure and property developments
Support senior team members on complex, high-value projects
Maintain and strengthen client relationships through proactive communication and client care
Candidate Profile:
Qualified solicitor (NQ - 2 years PQE) with experience in or exposure to construction law
Strong interest in non-contentious construction matters
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
A commercial approach to problem-solving
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently on assigned tasks
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal work
