A well-established and highly regarded law firm in Wokingham is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its thriving Wills and Inheritance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior solicitor to take on a leadership role, manage a varied caseload, and contribute to the ongoing success of a growing department.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will handle a broad range of private client work, including:
- Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Inheritance Tax planning
- Elderly client matters and estate administration
In addition to managing their own caseload, the role involves:
- Leading and mentoring other team members
- Playing a key role in business development and networking to enhance the department's profile and attract new clients
- Contributing to the strategic development of the team and its services
Candidate Requirements:
- A qualified solicitor with at least 6+ years PQE, preferably 10+ years
- Strong technical expertise in private client matters, including wills, tax planning, trusts, and elderly client issues
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding and supporting junior colleagues
- Excellent business development and networking abilities to expand the client base and enhance the team's reputation
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and professionalism
- Strong communication and client care skills
