A well-established firm with offices across South West London, Middlesex, and Surrey is seeking an experienced Family Finance Solicitor to join their team in Ashford. The Role:
An experienced Senior Finance Family Associate is required to manage a diverse caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial remedies, and private law children cases. Additionally, the role involves providing private mediation services, facilitating amicable resolutions in family disputes.

Key Responsibilities:
Case Management:

  • Handling a variety of family law cases with a primary focus on financial remedies, divorce, and civil partnership dissolution.
  • Providing mediation services to clients to resolve disputes outside of court.
  • Maintaining accurate case files and documentation.

Client Care:

  • Delivering expert legal advice and representation.
  • Ensuring exceptional client care, confidentiality, and regular case updates.
  • Managing client expectations effectively.

Mediation:

  • Conducting mediation sessions for clients focusing on financial, divorce, and child arrangement matters.
  • Preparing mediation agreements in compliance with legal standards.

Business Development:

  • Participating in business development initiatives to attract new clients.
  • Networking with professionals and organisations to promote legal services.
  • Contributing to marketing efforts, including writing blogs and attending events.

Compliance:

  • Adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with firm policies, risk management, and quality control procedures.


Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE in family law.
  • Proven experience managing private family law cases.
  • Qualified all-issues family mediator (FMC Accreditation desirable).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in legal case management software.
  • Experience working under LEXCEL or equivalent practice management standards (desirable).
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
