An Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Litigator

A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its Litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value disputes for clients both nationally and internationally.

The Role
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of complex and high-profile civil and commercial litigation matters, overseeing all stages from case inception through to trial and appeal. Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling Complex Litigation: Managing shareholder and partnership disputes, insolvency matters, contract disputes, and professional negligence claims.
  • Multi-Jurisdictional Matters: Advising on comparative law and cross-border enforcement of judgments.
  • Advocacy & Representation: Representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Legal Research & Drafting: Preparing pleadings, motions, and legal opinions, while staying informed on evolving legal developments.
  • Client Relationship Management: Providing strategic and commercially sound advice while fostering strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring: Supervising junior solicitors, promoting collaboration and professional development within the team.
  • Business Development: Contributing to the growth of the firm's litigation practice, engaging in networking and client development activities.


Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a technically skilled, commercially aware litigator with significant experience handling high-value, complex disputes. The role requires:

  • Extensive Litigation Experience: A strong background in civil and commercial litigation, particularly in shareholder and partnership disputes, insolvency, and contractual claims.
  • Multi-Jurisdictional Expertise: Understanding of comparative law and cross-border enforcement of judgments.
  • Exceptional Advocacy & Negotiation Skills: Experience in court proceedings, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Strong Legal Research & Drafting Skills: Ability to analyse complex legal issues and draft clear, persuasive legal arguments.
  • Leadership & Team Development: A track record of mentoring and supervising junior solicitors, fostering a supportive and high-performance team culture.
  • Client-Focused Approach: A commitment to delivering practical and commercially viable solutions while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Business Development Skills: A proactive approach to networking, client development, and expanding the firm's litigation practice.
