Our client is looking for an experienced CICS engineer, to help plan and manage the IBM Mainframe upgrade, ensuring hardware performance, OS upkeep, and 3rd party software maintenance. Our team supports CICS and MQ for Mainframe applications.
What You'll Do

• Plan and deliver CICS environment upgrades.
• Collaborate with Change and Project Management for smooth implementation.
• Enhance CICS security, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
• Identify, assess, and communicate technical risks.
• Resolve incidents and optimize the CICS setup.

Key skills

• Strong knowledge of CICS resilience, security, and operability.
• Proven experience planning and executing upgrades.
• Broad understanding of IT infrastructure (hardware, networking, middleware).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.

It would be advantageous if you had Knowledge of Core Banking platforms, MQ administration, including clustering and security and/or experience with core modernisation and digital demands on CICS infrastructure.
