About this role
Henderson Scott urgently requires a Release Manager to work with a leading FS company in Glasgow. PLEASE NOTE WE CANT OFFER ANY SPONSORSHIP AT THIS STAGE.
To apply we are looking for people with a solid background in Release Management and experience of the following :-
* 8-10 years of Release and/or project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)
* In-depth knowledge of Agile and / or PMP® or Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) or any other Project Management certification would be preferred.
* Any software Release management tool experience (preferred AZURE/AWS CICD integration tools ).
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
* Experience with build and release management, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
* Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
* Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
* Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
* Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
* Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
* Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
* Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
* Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
* Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
* Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
* Planning release windows and the overall release lifecycle
* Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
* Leadership and analytical skills & Problem-solving
* Release manager is to be able to work collaboratively with all teams in a software development process, including developers, testers, IT management, and project managers to ensure that updates and the building of a process is according to a timeframe.
* Bachelor's or Master degree from reputed university
