A well-established law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join its highly regarded Private Client and Tax team in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading team that provides tailored wealth management, tax planning, and asset protection services to a diverse client base, including individuals, family offices, family businesses, and fiduciaries.

The team consists of traditional private client lawyers as well as specialist advisors in:

• Domestic estate planning
• International tax & structuring
• Contentious trusts & estates
• Charity matters
• Court of Protection & deputyship work

The Role
The successful candidate will be an Associate-level Private Client Solicitor with experience in domestic trust and tax matters. They will manage a varied caseload and work closely with high-net-worth individuals and business owners on complex estate planning and tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on wealth management, UK tax planning, and asset protection
• Handling a caseload of trust and estate planning matters
• Providing guidance on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and estate administration
• Collaborating with specialist advisors and other practice areas to offer a holistic service
• Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in private client law, particularly in domestic trust and tax matters
• Strong technical knowledge and drafting skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A client-focused and proactive approach
• A commitment to continuous professional development, with access to mentoring and knowledge support

A STEP qualification (or working towards it) would be advantageous but is not essential.
