Senior Associate - Non-Contentious Construction
Leading International Law Firm, London
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Associate to join our Non-Contentious Construction team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, advising leading clients across the real estate, infrastructure, and energy sectors.


Role

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in our construction team, handling complex and high-value projects. You will advise on procurement strategies, contract drafting and negotiation, and risk management across various construction and engineering projects, both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

* Advising clients on standard form contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and bespoke construction agreements.
* Drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts, development agreements, and associated documentation.
* Supporting large-scale infrastructure and energy projects, including PPP/PFI.
* Advising clients on procurement strategies, regulatory matters, and risk management.
* Leading transactions and project workstreams while mentoring junior team members.
* Collaborating with colleagues across our real estate, finance, and corporate teams to provide integrated legal solutions.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development activities.

Candidate

* Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5+ years' PQE in non-contentious construction law.
* Strong experience with major forms of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.).
* Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and provide commercially sound legal advice.
* Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills.
* Strong client relationship management skills and a proactive approach to business development.
* Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
* Experience in infrastructure, energy, or real estate projects is advantageous.
