At Henderson Scott we're working with an exciting and rapidly growing personal care company that's making huge strides in the industry. Originally a solely Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business, this company has quickly broken into the Top 4 grocery retailers and is experiencing phenomenal growth. With so much momentum and a strong market presence, they are now ready to make their first key appointment, reporting directly to a highly influential Head of Sales with a blue-chip background. The Role:
As National Account Manager, you'll be at the forefront of growing this brand's presence within the Top 4 grocery retailers and expanding their online channels. You will play a pivotal role in driving business development, managing key accounts, and executing the company's strategic vision within these high-profile retailers. With an established reputation in the D2C space and an expanding footprint in retail, this is your chance to shape the future of the company's retail and online sales landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key grocery and online accounts, ensuring that their needs are understood and met.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth within the Top 4 mults and online channels.
  • Lead negotiations, manage contracts, and close sales to meet mutually beneficial terms.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales and other internal teams to align business goals and ensure that the company's retail strategy is executed effectively.
  • Monitor performance and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth within the grocery and online sectors.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, ensuring that sales targets and KPIs are consistently achieved or exceeded.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, customer preferences, and competitor activity to ensure the brand remains competitive in the market.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in national account management or business development, ideally within FMCG or a similar consumer-facing sector.
  • Strong understanding of the grocery retail landscape, including experience managing relationships with the Top 4 mults (Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and nurture relationships at senior levels.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience working alongside senior leadership teams to drive business strategy and growth.
  • A positive, resilient attitude with a passion for the personal care industry and delivering exceptional client service.
