Legal Cashier

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

The Company:
A well-established and reputable law firm located in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. With a strong focus on client service and professional growth, this firm is looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join their finance team.

The Role:

• Processing client and office account transactions
• Handling the posting of financial transactions in line with SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) rules
• Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations
• Assisting with monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions
• Providing support with VAT returns and compliance
• Assisting with financial reporting and auditing

The Person:

• Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or within a similar finance role within a legal environment
• Knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and legal financial regulations
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in legal accounting software (Aderant, Elite, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in financial tasks
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with other departments
