Software Engineer - Java - 12 month contract - Glasgow Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Do you have a background developing complex, real-time, multithreaded Java applications? Do you excel at problem-solving and possess excellent knowledge and experience in data structures and concurrency? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

I have an immediate 12 month contract in Glasgow, working for a multi-national client, developing one of their core systems used globally. This will suit someone who enjoys developing complex Java solutions, has excellent software engineering experience and the ability to use logical thinking to resolve problems.

As such, I am keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experience:

• End-to-end software development experience of enterprise scaled Java solutions
• Excellent Server-side Java Development experience
• Strong skills in multithreading, data structures and concurrency
• SQL/RDBMS
• Spring
• JUnit
• Message-based Architecture
• Agile Software Development

Nice to have skills

• Knowledge of JMS, MQ, Kafka
• Open Source Libraries for Java
• Python / Shell Scripting
• Financial Services background

Flexibility to work 3 days onsite in Glasgow is expected.
