IT Delivery Manager - Government - Commercial Projects - Procurement - 12 month contract - SC Clearance

I have an immediate opportunity for a Commercial IT Delivery Manager to join an ongoing programme for our government client. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of commercial IT projects, driving value for money, and enhancing their procurement processes.

Due to the urgency and the nature of the role, I am ideally looking to speak with candidates who are sole British Nationals and have an active SC clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage commercial IT project delivery, ensuring alignment with team and wider departmental objectives.
• Drive forward procurement initiatives, ensuring best value and adherence to government procurement processes and best practices.
• Engage and manage suppliers effectively, fostering strong working relationships.
• Use your knowledge of Crown Commercial Frameworks to enhance procurement strategies.
• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and apply it to all aspects of project delivery.
• Work closely with team members to achieve common goals and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial IT project delivery within a government setting.
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes and best practices.
• Knowledge of Crown Commercial Frameworks is highly desirable.
• Excellent supplier engagement and management skills.
• Experience of contracts management
• Proficiency in using e-sourcing portals.
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
