The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor to join a well-established and expanding law firm. Our client is seeking a dedicated legal professional to manage a growing caseload and contribute to the continued success of their Family Law department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with experience in family law to step into a role with real progression prospects, including potential partnership opportunities.

The Role

• Managing a varied caseload including:

  • Private Law Children matters

  • Divorce & Financial Settlements

  • Injunctions

  • Some Public Law cases (e.g., LAC reviews, conferences)

  • Legal Aid & Private Client Work

• Providing expert legal advice to clients both in person and via telephone.

• Handling cases efficiently using the firm's case management systems.

• Ensuring timely billing and management of outstanding disbursements.

• Adhering to SRA regulations and upholding confidentiality.

• Supporting the Head of Department and mentoring junior team members.

• Actively participating in business development and networking to bring in new work.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 3 years PQE as a Family Solicitor.

• Education: Law Degree or equivalent legal qualifications.

• Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong expertise in Family Law, including divorce, finances, injunctions, and private/public children matters.

  • Experience handling both legal aid and private fee-paying work.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong IT skills and ability to use case management systems.

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and keen to take on leadership responsibilities.

  • A proactive and professional approach to work.
