The Role:
The Head of Employment Department will lead the team in handling a broad range of employment law matters, representing both respondents and claimants, including dealing with settlement agreements. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, with a focus on providing commercial, practical solutions for clients. In addition, they will be responsible for supervising and developing a talented team while maintaining a collaborative and dynamic working environment.

This position offers the flexibility of hybrid working, combining office and home-based work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Employment Department, overseeing all employment-related matters and team activities.
• Handle a diverse caseload involving both respondents and claimants, including settlement agreements.
• Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring high standards of legal service and client care.
• Provide practical and commercial solutions to clients, fostering strong client relationships.
• Work closely with Partners to contribute to the firm's continued growth and success.

About the Candidate:

• Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE in employment law.
• Proven experience representing both respondents and claimants, including settlement agreements.
• Strong ability to manage cases independently while maintaining a collaborative approach with the team.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is essential.
• Ambitious, detail-oriented, and eager for career progression.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
