Data Engineer - ERP / SAP - Greater Manchester - Hybrid (3-4 days onsite)

I am working with a leading manufacturing client in the greater Manchester area who are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their busy Central Data team.

The team are looking for someone who has worked on ERP / SAP solutions and thrives on delivering continuous improvement and standardisation in line with the master data policy.

The successful candidate will

• Support and enhance data processes with engineering and manufacturing teams
• Extract, analyse, and interpret data using ERP systems, particularly SAP
• Develop and manage audit strategies
• Provide first-line support for data issues
• Promote data integrity in ERP environments
• Generate KPI reports, and implement routing times and capacity management in SAP.

Additionally, you will create requirement analysis documents and functional specifications, develop, test, and support SAP enhancements with external partners, conduct system regression testing, and maintain SAP user guides.

I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have

• Background working as a Data Engineer, ideally within manufacturing environments
• Previous experience with ERP systems, and advantageous experience with SAP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in process improvements delivery
• A minimum of HNC level qualification or equivalent experience

Due to the nature of the client and the work involved, successful candidates must be willing to undergo BPSS screening.
