Customer Success Engineer (Java)

Summary:

We are seeking a passionate Customer Success Engineer with a software development background to guide customers through the adoption of our highly technical product. This remote role involves monthly visits to our Oxford office. This position is ideal for those looking to advance their careers in Customer Success, Solution Engineering, Product Management, or Product Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage technical relationships with customer development teams.
  • Support customers through product installation, integration, and training.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Conduct remote and on-site onboarding sessions.
  • Collaborate with Account Directors to align on customer goals and value delivery.
  • Leverage software development expertise to coach customers on best practices.
  • Advocate for customer needs, working with Product and Engineering teams on new requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Computer Science Engineering or relevant technical degree.
  • Experience in a technical customer-facing role, ideally with enterprise customers.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Experience delivering technical product demos and presentations.
  • Solid understanding of programming (Java experience preferred) and SDLC.
  • Knowledge of application frameworks (e.g., Spring) and unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit).
  • Experience with Java build systems (e.g., Maven, Gradle).
  • Experience with source code management tools (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with Linux/macOS/Windows environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
