Android Architect - San Francisco Bay Area

Salary: $170-190,000

We are seeking an experienced Android Architect to lead the design and development of our next-generation Android applications. You will be responsible for defining the overall architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance while guiding a team of developers to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define & implement the overall Android application architecture and technical roadmap.

• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance Android applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to deliver seamless user experiences.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Android development team.

• Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and automation.

• Evaluate and integrate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance development efficiency.

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and scalability issues.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Android Architect or Senior Android Developer.

• Expertise in Kotlin and Java, with a deep understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and best practices.

• Strong experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection (e.g., Dagger, Hilt).

• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party libraries.

• Strong knowledge of performance optimization, memory management, and security best practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Compose, Flutter, or cross-platform development.

• Knowledge of cloud services (Firebase, AWS, Google Cloud).

• Experience working with Agile methodologies.
