Search are delighted to partner with a professional services company based in South Birmingham to recruit for an Accounts Assistant.
The role will join a tenured finance team and report to the Finance Manager. This business has experienced successful growth over the last 12 months and require an Accounts Assistant to join their fast paced team.
This role is suitable to a candidate with good general accounting skills, from a professional services background and strong attention to detail.
Other aspects include:
- Transactional purchase ledger invoicing
- Raising sales invoices
- Processing payments, BACS and transfers
- Dealing with suppliers and queries
- Month end closure and balance sheet reconciliation for 6 companies.
- Journals, prepayments and accruals.
- Financial reporting
- Month end accounts
The successful candidate will need to:
- Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good experience reporting to senior stakeholders
- Have ability to meet multiple deadlines and work under pressure
- Be able to establish good working relationships in a cross-functional environment with excellent communication skills.
- Have a positive attitude, flexible approach and a passion to learn
- Wanting to grow and develop and join a fast faced environment.
Salary
£28,000 plus study support if you would like to progress (This is personal to the individual but not a must)

Hybrid working after probation - 2 days from home
